Email Deliverability

What "Done for You" Email Marketing at Curaytor Actually Looks Like Behind the Scenes

Email marketing still remains the marketing channel with the highest ROI. According to Hubspot, "Email marketing averages a stellar $36 to $42 return for every $1 spent, making it the highest-ROI digital channel."
And at Curaytor, we pride ourselves on our done-for-you email marketing. But sending the email is just the start. Our team also pays attention to what happens after it goes out, reviews each campaign, keeps an eye on deliverability, and uses what we learn to make informed decisions about future sends.

We call this "active marketing" because the plan continues to develop as the database responds.

We believe that should be included when a company says its marketing is done for you. An agent shouldn’t receive a dashboard full of numbers and be left to figure out what they mean.

Here’s how our team reviewed a recent client campaign sent through Blast.

How Curaytor evaluates email marketing performance

The campaign went to approximately 7,000 contacts. It received a 13% open rate, with 910 unique opens, 19 clicks, and three unsubscribes.

These numbers are easily visible in your Blast dashboard, but knowing how to interpret them takes more context. This is where our team steps in.

Three unsubscribes equal approximately 0.04% of the database, which is low for a send of this size. We’d still compare it with previous campaigns rather than making a judgment from one email. If unsubscribes began increasing over several sends, we’d review whether the content or sending frequency had changed.

The delivery report tells us that receiving servers accepted the emails without a major block or rejection. Unfortunately, it doesn’t confirm that every message reached the primary inbox; some may have landed in a promotions tab or spam folder. Still, a strong delivery rate gives us a useful place to begin our assesement on your email health.

The 13% open rate also needs context. Open rates vary based on how a database was built, how often it receives email, and what type of content was sent. Privacy features can affect open tracking as well, so we don’t treat 13% as a grade. Instead, we compare it with the client’s normal range. If recent campaigns have performed similarly, the result is consistent. If the open rate has been falling, we can look at the subject line, topic, and audience before the next email goes out.

We’re less interested in chasing a flattering percentage than we are in maintaining a database the agent can continue reaching.

How Curaytor manages email deliverability

Some of Curaytor's email deliverability management happens before an email is sent. SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records help inbox providers verify the sender, while a properly warmed domain establishes a consistent sending history.

We also take a look at the send volume. If a domain usually sends 2,000 emails, jumping straight to 7,000 can look unusual to an inbox provider. A gradual increase gives the domain time to establish a reliable pattern.

We also consider who should receive each campaign. A contact who hasn’t engaged in a long time may need a different topic or sending frequency. Because open tracking isn’t exact, we look at more than one signal before changing how those contacts are treated.

Campaign performance helps guide the content plan, too. When an open rate falls outside the client’s normal range, we review the campaign rather than assuming the entire strategy is broken. The subject line may not have connected, or the topic may have appealed to a smaller section of the database. That information can help us approach the next send more thoughtfully.

Regular list maintenance supports all of this. Hard bounces and invalid addresses shouldn’t be allowed to accumulate because continuing to send to them can affect deliverability.

Why active email marketing matters

Inbox providers such as Gmail, Outlook, and Yahoo consider authentication, sending patterns, complaints, and recipient engagement when deciding where an email belongs. Problems often develop over time, which is why they’re easier to address when someone is reviewing the account regularly.

Without that context, an agent may see a lower open rate and assume the email content is the problem. The content may need attention, but the sending history or list quality could also be involved.

Curaytor’s active marketing approach means our team is watching those signals inside Blast. We understand the marketing behind the campaign and the platform used to send it, so we can put the numbers into context and decide whether anything needs to change.

For us, that’s what done-for-you email marketing should include: someone handles the send, understands the results, and keeps the email plan moving in the right direction.

That's the kind of visibility that only becomes more valuable as AI search adoption grows. Curaytor is built to put you there.

Frequently Asked Questions

Choose the core platform you need and add the expert execution you want. A connected, modular ecosystem outperforms disjointed tools every time.

Curaytor prepares and sends email campaigns through Blast, then reviews the results to see how the database responded. Agents can view campaign performance and identify contacts who opened or clicked.

It depends on list size, audience type, and how contacts were acquired. For a well-maintained sphere database of several thousand contacts, open rates between 13% and 25% are typical and healthy. The more important signal is whether your open rate is stable over time and paired with low unsubscribes and complaints.

Open rates are useful for tracking general trends, but privacy features have made them less precise. Clicks, replies, unsubscribes, bounces, and spam complaints help provide a more complete picture of campaign performance.

Through a combination of domain authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), send volume management, engagement-based segmentation, regular list cleaning, and ongoing monitoring of inbox placement signals.

Yes. Our reporting shows you what was sent, how it performed, and what adjustments were made. The difference is that you don't have to identify the issues yourself or figure out how to fix them.

Ideally this doesn't happen because we're catching the early warning signs before it gets there. If deliverability does dip, our team adjusts send volume, segments the list, and implements a recovery plan to rebuild inbox placement. This is much faster when caught early, which is why proactive monitoring matters.
