What does having the highest head count in your company have to do with being #1? China has the highest population of the countries in the world. How does that correlate with quality? I have always been curious about how this one factor is used by brokerages in advertising to consumers....misleading? What do you think?
GOLDEN opportunity to hear a leader speaking with authority and spelling it out for the culture that is expected (just where the bar is) in the Australian Army that he commands. This is his declaration and response to mistreatment and violations of decency among his troops. Watch and listen...and think about how powerful it would be if we had leaders in our associations at all levels...at all brokerages...setting the bar for culture, spelling out how to handle violations, and first and foremost being pretty convincing that this indeed is their own core values personally as well. I thought this was a very powerful message done with diplomatic force. I was inspired listening to this. Hope you will be too.
Michael, Often when reading postings in this awesome FB group...RTB®...when a person references a point with "in my area"...I will click on that person's name to see just where they are referring to...and do not see where they are from...I go to their page...and I still do not see where they are from...I look for contact info...and it is not there. Wouldn't it RTB® to have that info handy for folks to view? Why would agents want to keep their locale and contact info Classified Top Secret information? I also go crazy when agents do not list their cell in our MLS...I go to their website...no cell...I call an agent's office and ask for their cell number only to be told that they are not allowed to give out that info! I guess this is not an issue to discuss as much as it is something that totally perplexes me! (Sorry, it has been a long weekend!)
Titles that we sometimes bestow upon ourselves...hmmm...spotted a few on business cards while showing homes yesterday...and have seen many online...including in this esteemed group...What is up with that? Especially when you attach the term "Realtor" to it...making it appear to be NAR endorsed...misleading? false even? violation of COE? What do you folks think? Here is the list from NAR's site...and I know that there are other groups who "certify" you after taking a course...just have seen so many lately...(Hear It Direct probably has info on what consumers think about them... Sue Adler) but what is up with the "tagline/made up ones"? Does the bar go up or down with these? http://www.realtor.org/designations-and-certifications
Linsey Ehle Planeta, thanks, again. Don't worry though, I have been fair and honest to all parties..and documented my disclosures, and noted and dated a history. Ultimately, my point was really about all these loose gun agents out there not keeping their brokers in the loop with their actions...and worse...they just do not seem to get good basic training...have a sense for true rigth and wrong ways to conduct business...no policies drilled into them...no enforcement of policies...no consequences. I would like to seeee Brokers/Owners take a better grip on the reins of all the folks whose licenses they hold. I think it would eliminate a lot of the "stuff" we all get to deal with nearly daily within our own ranks. Thanks, again!
