I personally use HootSuite for both personal profiles and pages on Facebook. The great thing about HootSuite, which both Katie Lance and Chris Smith also echo, is that it allows you to plan your content ahead of time (very important). You also don't have to worry about being near a computer at a certain time in order to publish your content. However, you do not want to solely rely on it. You must personally log in to Facebook directly for these reasons 1. to engage with your audience -- comment, like, share, etc 2. to appear more frequently within Facebook's EdgeRank -- according to new announcements, Facebook (based on their own algorithm will feature content more frequently that has been published directly via facebook) 3. You can't plan for everything -- Events, Updates, News, etc happen every day, which you can't possibly plan for. That being said, when topical content arises my suggestion would be to post this directly via Facebook in order to accommodate for point 2.
