Jambox Jawbone is pretty amazing & very portable

Transfer presentations to ipad (either iTunes , dropbox etc). Open presentation in keynote.upper right hand corner, the triangle (if I recall correctly) , starts the presentation. If you are using the remote app from an iPhone or iPod touch be sure to be connected before you start. Hope that helps,as a start.
